Delete Your Orilo Account
This page explains how to permanently delete your Orilo account and the personal information associated with it. You can delete your account yourself inside the app, or ask us to delete it for you if you no longer have access to the app.
Option 1 — Delete your account in the app
This is the fastest route and takes effect immediately. If you still have Orilo installed and can sign in, use this option.
- Open Orilo and sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Go to Settings, then the Account section, then tap Manage account.
- Tap Delete account and confirm that you want to continue.
- Confirm it's you: enter your password, or re-authenticate with Google if you signed in with Google.
- Tap Delete on the final confirmation. This step cannot be undone.
Your account is deleted from our servers as soon as the final confirmation succeeds, and you are signed out on every device.
Option 2 — Ask us to delete your account
If you have already uninstalled Orilo, cannot sign in, or would simply prefer that we handle it, send us a deletion request. Fill in the details below and your email app will open with the request ready to send to support@orilo.live. We verify every request by email before deleting anything — see How we verify a deletion request below.
If the button does not open your email app, email support@orilo.live directly with the subject line “Delete my Orilo account” and include the email address on your account.
How we verify a deletion request
We protect accounts against deletion requests made by someone else. Submitting a request does not delete anything on its own.
- We acknowledge your request within 5 business days.
- We reply to the email address registered on the account — never to the address the request was sent from — and ask you to confirm the deletion from that mailbox. Anyone who does not control the account's mailbox cannot proceed past this step.
- If we do not receive your confirmation from that mailbox within 14 days, we close the request and leave the account untouched. You can always start over with a new request.
- Once you confirm, we delete the account and complete the deletion within 30 days.
We will never ask you for your password by email. If you receive a message claiming to be from us that asks for your password, do not reply to it and contact us at support@orilo.live.
If you no longer have access to the email address on the account, we cannot rely on the email confirmation above. In that case we will ask you for additional information to establish that the account is yours before we delete anything, and we may decline a request we cannot verify.
For the strongest verification, delete your account in the app using Option 1. That flow already confirms your identity with your password or Google re-authentication on a signed-in device.
Before you delete: paid subscriptions
Deleting your Orilo account does not cancel an active subscription. Subscriptions are billed by Google Play or the Apple App Store, so you must cancel there to stop future charges.
On Android, open the Google Play Store app, tap your profile icon, then Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions, select Orilo and tap Cancel subscription.
On iOS, open Settings, tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions, select Orilo and tap Cancel Subscription.
Cancel your subscription before deleting your account. Once the account is gone we can no longer look it up to help you with billing.
What is deleted
Deleting your account closes it for good — it cannot be reopened or recovered, you are signed out on every device, and the following is removed from our production systems:
- Your account record, sign-in credentials, and any linked Google or Apple sign-in identifiers.
- Your profile and onboarding information, such as your first name or nickname and date of birth.
- Your Host bond and personalization settings, including topics, tone, length, and depth preferences.
- Your Memories — the preferences, interests, routines, and other facts Orilo saved to personalize your sessions.
- Your conversations with your Host, including voice recordings, transcripts, and any files, images, or text you submitted.
- Usage and device data that is linked to your account identifiers.
Your email address is released when the account is closed, so you can immediately use it to register a brand-new account if you change your mind. That new account starts empty: it is not connected to the deleted account and none of the data above comes back.
What we may keep, and for how long
A limited amount of information may be retained after deletion, as described in our Privacy Policy:
- Records we must keep by law. Transaction and purchase records, and other records we are required to retain to comply with tax, accounting, or other legal obligations.
- Security and abuse prevention. A minimal set of identifiers needed to prevent fraud, resolve disputes, protect the security of the Service, and enforce our agreements.
- De-identified and aggregated data. Information that no longer identifies you and cannot reasonably be used to re-identify you.
- Encrypted backups. Deleted data may persist in routine backups for up to 90 days before those backups expire and are overwritten. It is not used to serve the Service during that period.
Content processed by third parties on our behalf is deleted in line with the terms described in our Privacy Policy.
Delete some data without deleting your account
If you want to remove some information but keep your account, open Settings then Memory in the app. There you can review what Orilo has remembered about you, add or update it, or tap Delete and turn off memory to delete your saved Memories and stop new ones from being saved — all without closing your account.
